iPod Nano With Camera Coming Soon

According to a post over at AppleInsider it looks like Apple are readying a new range of iPod nano's with a slightly larger screen and a point-and-shoot digital camera similar to the one found on the iPhone.

It is reported that the camera will be placed on the lower left-hand side of the nano's rear, and will pave the way for the iPod to double up as digital camera when held in landscape mode.

If true, then it will be interesting to see if the nano has any built-in photo manipulation apps, or will be no more than a cheap point and shooter.

The report also goes on to say that Apple are planning to release 3 variants of the new iPhone that will be available in different geographical regions, which will be dictated by that regions mobile network's ability to support high speed mobile internet, or no internet access at all. The report also speculates the new iPhone's will be available in a scratch resistant matt black finish.

I think we will also see a camera on the iPod Touch, and I think a nano with camera will probably happen, although only time will tell, but based on past AppleInsider predictions, I think they are probably are correct.

Figure: Could the new iPod nano with camera look like this?
