The new system, Wolfram Alpha, takes the first step towards what many consider to be the internet's Holy Grail – a global store of information that understands and responds to ordinary language in the same way a person does.
An invention that could change the internet for ever. Revolutionary new web software could put giants such as Google in the shade when it comes out later this month.
Although the system is still new, it has already produced massive interest and excitement among technology pundits and internet watchers.

Computer experts believe the new search engine will be an evolutionary leap in the development of the internet.

Wolfram Alpha will not only give a straight answer (Check The Figure Below) to questions such as "how high is Mount Everest?", but it will also produce a neat page of related information – all properly sourced - such as geographical location and nearby towns, and other mountains, complete with graphs and charts.

The real innovation, however, is in its ability to work things out "on the fly", If you ask it to compare the height of Mount Everest to the length of the Golden Gate Bridge, it will tell you. Or ask what the weather was like in London on the day John F Kennedy was assassinated, it will cross-check and provide the answer. Ask it about D sharp major, it will play the scale. Type in "10 flips for four heads" and it will guess that you need to know the probability of coin-tossing. If you want to know when the next solar eclipse over Chicago is, or the exact current location of the International Space Station, it can work it out.
Dr Wolfram, an award-winning physicist who is based in America, added that the information is "curated", meaning it is assessed first by experts. This means that the weaknesses of sites such as Wikipedia, where doubts are cast on the information because anyone can contribute, are taken out. It is based on his best-selling Mathematica software, a standard tool for scientists, engineers and academics for crunching complex maths.

"It will understand what you are talking about," he said. "We are just at the beginning. I think we've got a reasonable start on 90 per cent of the shelves in a typical reference library." The engine, which will be free to use, works by drawing on the knowledge on the internet, as well as private databases. Dr Wolfram said he expected that about 1,000 people would be needed to keep its databases updated with the latest discoveries and information.
Wolfram Alpha has been designed with professionals and academics in mind, so its grasp of popular culture is, at the moment, comparatively poor. The term "50 Cent" caused "absolute horror" in tests, for example, because it confused a discussion on currency with the American rap artist. For this reason alone it is unlikely to provide an immediate threat to Google, which is working on a similar type of search engine, a version of which it launched last week.

He added that to help with that Wolfram Alpha would be using Wikipedia's popularity index to decide what users were likely to be interested in.

With Google now one of the world's top brands, worth $100bn, Wolfram Alpha has the potential to become one of the biggest names on the planet. Also know what i found about it. A search result on WolframAplha And Google.
"For those of us tired of hundreds of pages of results that do not really have a lot to do with what we are trying to find out, Wolfram Alpha may be what we have been waiting for." - Launch of Wolfram Alpha would be just the beginning of the project.
However, we cannot rule out working with Google in the future, as well as Wikipedia. And also we have to watch out for Microsoft Bing.

A mother duck and her little ducklings were on their way to the lake one day. The ducklings were very happy following their mother and quack-quacking along the way. All of a sudden the mother duck saw a fox in the distance.
She was frightened and shouted, “Children, hurry to the lake. There’s a fox!”...

The ducklings hurried towards the lake. The mother duck wondered what to do. She began to walk back and forth dragging one wing on the ground. When the fox saw her he became happy. He said to himself, “It seems that she’s hurt and can’t fly! I can easily catch and eat her!” Then he ran towards her.

The mother duck ran, leading the fox away from the lake. The fox followed her. Now he wouldn’t be able to harm her ducklings. The mother duck looked towards her ducklings and saw that they had reached the lake. She was relieved, so she stopped and took a deep breath. The fox thought she was tired and he came closer, but the mother duck quickly spread her wings and rose up in the air. She landed in the middle of the lake and her ducklings swam to her.

The fox stared in disbelief at the mother duck and her ducklings. He could not reach them because they were in the middle of the lake.

Moral: Dear children, some birds drag one of their wings on the ground when an enemy is going to attack. In this way they fool their enemies into thinking they are hurt. When the enemy follows them this gives their children time to escape.

How To Approach Windows 7?
The best approach is to start by throwing away preconceptions from earlier Windows versions and approach the new OS with an open mind. That's the best way to decide whether to incorporate Windows 7 into your home or business PC. In this gallery, I highlight some features you'll want to pay special attention to. Continuved From - Whats New In Windows 7 Part 6.

XP Mode In Action
With business editions of Windows 7, you can install an add-on that allows you to run Windows XP in a virtual machine. Any application you install on that virtual copy of XP is published to your Start menu. Using the shortcuts shown here, you can open a program running under XP on the Windows 7 desktop.
XP Apps On A Windows 7 Desktop
With business editions of Windows 7, you can install an add-on that allows you to run Windows XP in a virtual machine. Any application you install on that virtual copy of XP is published to your Start menu. Using the shortcuts shown here, you can open a program running under XP on the Windows 7 desktop.
Virtual PC Settings
Although XP Mode gets all the attention, the work is being done by a new version of Windows Virtual PC. If you’ve got enough memory (and if your CPU supports hardware virtualization and that option is enabled in the BIOS), you can create multiple virtual machines for different tasks. The settings here are for the included, licensed copy of Windows XP.
XP Mode Isn’t Perfectly Seamless
Although XP Mode does a good job of hiding its virtual roots most of the time, they do pop up occasionally. Confusing dialog boxes like the two shown here might appear when you’re not even aware a virtual machine is running.
Joining A Homegroup
Homegroups are a fascinating (and potentially confusing) feature available only between Windows 7 PCs connected over a local area network. When you attach a new PC to a network that already has a homegroup set up, you’re prompted to join, with the option to adjust sharing as shown here.

Do you need to avoid certain food stuff such as rice or fast-acting carbohydrates if you want to burn fat? Not necessary, unless you are extremely overweight and suffer from a medical condition.
Researchers say that those who train hard at the gym can afford to have a small serving of certain foods which sedentary persons shouldn’t be consuming. However, combing those small servings with high-class protein foods or supplements after an intense workout is the right approach.

High glycemic index (GI) carbohydrates combine with protein and quickly replenish depleted muscle glycogen (stored carbohydrates). The combination also repairs exercise-induced micro trauma in the muscles and makes them stronger. The rest of your meals should provide fibrous, low GI carbohydrates. Timing your nutrients is the key to good health. Also check the image above for a quick note.

It's unlikely that Bing will unseat Google anytime soon, but its slick interface and tailored search results certainly give the search giant a run for its money.
While Google slips in new features every few weeks, Microsoft favors the big launch, and for its major push into the search market...

For the past few weeks, the tech press has been speculating that instead of using the project's code name, Kumo, the final product would be called Bing; those speculations turned out to be true, as announced at the D7 conference in Carlsbad, California. Microsoft told the new service, located at www.bing.com, will begin to roll out over the coming days and will be fully deployed worldwide on Wednesday, June 3. Feature-wise, the Bing of today is identical to the Kumo of last week.

The world wasn't really looking for another search engine, so they set out to build a "decision engine," providing more than just a list of blue links. Yes, Bing still returns Web results, but it also has built-in helper tools for searches that aren't just about finding Web pages, particularly when it comes to travel, shopping, health, and local info.

Basically, Bing increases the chances that you'll get the answer you need right on the results page, without the need to click to another site, which may not even have what you're looking for. Foremost among new features that serve this goal is the "quick-page preview," which displays text from pages in the results when you hover the mouse over the right side of a result's entry. It's one of those "why wasn't that always there?" features that you quickly become dependent on.

Other ways Bing gets answers you want directly on its results page are in the results text and deep links. And you can search inside large sites or check FedEx or UPS tracking numbers from text boxes right in the results.

Interface
Rather than the blank white screen and logo that greets you on Google, Bing welcomes you with a beautiful, usually geographic but sometimes current-events-related image. The image loads after the search functionality, so it won't prevent you from starting your search immediately. Live Search had these images, but with Bing you can go back and see all the ones from the last week. At the bottom of the home page you'll see hot searches and travel and shopping topics, too.

Starting with this first search page, the consistency of interface begins: The left sidebar is always there to offer options, categories, and filters to fine-tune your search results. This is the case whether you've performed a video, image, or regular Web search. The consistency is welcome; other search engines use different layouts for each type of search.
For larger, more obvious entities, such as Best Buy, where you're really just using the search engine for navigation instead of simply typing the store's URL in the address bar, Bing yields a "Best Match" that stands out from the other results to minimize confusion.

Search results are also localized—if you type in "traffic," the first result will be a live map of your local traffic rather than a link to a major traffic site, which is what Google offers.

Turbocharged Travel Search
The Microsoft search team identified travel information as something users spend a lot of time struggling to find online: Where should I go? What's the best time to go? How much will it cost? Will the fare go up or down? When should I buy the ticket? With its acquisition of Farecast, Bing has at its disposal a rich resource to help users answer these very questions. You can see grids of what dates are the cheapest to travel, maps showing how far you can fly for below a certain price, and graphs of price changes over time. Once you zero in on an itinerary, Bing will take you to an airline purchase page. In testing this before release, I found that the airline site didn't retain my itinerary data, but Bing popped up a small window with that information for me to transfer manually.

Shopping
When you type in a product name, say Canon 5D, the first result will have an image, price, rating, and basic specs. Clicking on this brings you to a page for the product, breaking reviews down into user and expert categories and several online stores with prices; on the left panel you'll get links to accessories, lenses, software, driver, instructions, images, and videos for the camera. One thing you'll find that's missing in other search engines is cashback percentage, which allows you to save money through an agreement between the retailer (including Buy.com, Barnes, eBay, and Target, among many others) and Microsoft; it's like a rebate that you can have dumped into your PayPal or bank account, but you have to wait two months before claiming it.

Video and Images
Keeping with the consistent left-hand sidebar theme, video searches in Bing let you filter results by length, screen size, resolution, and source. For example, if you're looking for a full TV episode, you can home in on it by choosing a length of greater than 20 minutes, or a source like hulu.com.

Bing does a cool, Apple-like thing with video searches as well: It starts playing the video right in the video thumbnail on the results page. The whole video doesn't play, but you get enough excerpts to give you a good idea of the video's content.

Image search keeps the consistent interface as well, with the sidebar displaying filters by size, layout (square, tall, wide), color or B&W, style (photo or illustration), and whether the image has people in it. This last filter is even tunable to images with just faces, head and shoulders, or all. The image thumbnails stand as unadorned thumbnails in the results, but when you hover the mouse over them, they helpfully enlarge and review their source URL, size, and a choice to show similar images. I like this presentation, as it lets you concentrate on the images at first, and then drill down to details after you've located one of interest. Google, by contrast, clutters the results with all the details from the start.

News
Bing's news page is one area where the site still trails Google, in one way: timeliness. When I searched for a tech news article we had just published on PCMag.com, Google displayed the article within 5 to 10 minutes, whereas Bing took from 15 to 20 minutes for the same article to appear. And when the California Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8 recently, the news hit Google News 10 minutes before I saw it on Bing.

Health
When you type in the name of a health condition, such as asthma or diabetes, high in Bing's results will be a link to a "Bing Health Article" from a certified source, such as the Mayo Clinic. The page, hosted on Bing, provides the definition, symptoms, and, most important, a "When to seek medical advice" section. A Microsoft exec told me that 45 percent of Web searches are on health, so getting reliable answers is critical. In contrast, searching for asthma in Google brought a Wikipedia result up at the top, and. While I'm a huge fan of Wikipedia, its user-contributed content is probably not something I want to bet my well-being on.

Sample Searches
Searching for online photo album brought up results in Google and Bing, but in Yahoo there were so many ads that I could see only one result on the page. In Yahoo's favor, I do like the way it handles search suggestions with a dark box, making the options very obvious. In a search for Dead Sea Salinity, Bing was the only one of the three that got me the answer in the first result. Yahoo did suggest a link that got the answer up top, too. Incidentally, Wolfram Alpha turned up the wrong answer for this—3.5 percent, when it's actually 35 percent.
Does Bing Have Enough Bling?
Microsoft has identified several of the problems with Web search as it stands today. Much of the time users are not really looking for a Web page but for an answer. By providing results that answer users' questions immediately rather than requiring them to navigate to another page and back if the first one didn't yield the info they were looking for, Bing brings value and efficiency to Web searches. I didn't run into any cases where Google's results were more relevant than Bing's, whether I was looking for a specific site or for general information on a topic.

It's unlikely that Bing will unseat Google anytime soon, but it's a good thing for everyone to have more appealing choices, and some competition, when it comes to Web searching.

SD and HD: what's that?
It should be explained in the preamble a TV CRT displays a 720x576 pixel resolution (576 lines by 720 columns), that the HD Ready screens mounted mostly at 1366x768 pixels (768 lines by 1366 columns), while the Full HD models (also known as HD Ready 1080p) can display 1920x1080 pixels (1080 lines by 1920 columns).

TV analogue (terrestrial) or digital (TNT, cable, satellite, ADSL), the VHS, DVD and consoles like PS2, Wii or Xbox 576 are distributed in rows, we talk about image for SD Standard Definition . Consoles PS3 and Xbox 360 last-generation games provide 720 lines, sometimes in 1080, while high-definition movies in Blu-ray or HD DVD are broadcast in 1080 lines, this time images for HD "High Definition".

Uscaling (Scale)
To view an SD of 576 lines on a screen HD Ready or Full HD, must be increased or rather interpolate in the number of rows (and columns) missing: either 768-576 = 172 lines for HD Ready TVs and 1080 -576 = 504 lines Full HD screens. This is known as upscaling of SD sources, this scaling is not immune to the phenomenon of image degradation, more marked on Full HD TVs for those stamped HD Ready.
The quality of the upscaling depends only electronic components embedded in the televisions. Broadly speaking, the more you put the price, the more these technologies scaled will be good.

HD ready or Full HD?
If you plan to use your TV to watch VHS, DVD, SD TV, or to play on your console, we advise you HD Ready TVs which have less processing to be carried out to scale sources SD. These tiles can still enjoy very pleasantly sources encoded HD lines in 1080 (Blu-ray, Next-gen console ...). Their affordable rates you will also choose a larger screen size.

But if you want to move into an era of true high definition, by subscribing to tender your HD TV, playing the latest Next-Gen consoles and, of course, you have a Blu-ray, more is moving towards Full HD screens. You will be put against the price for it to display SD sources as good or better than the HD Ready TVs.

Alternative circuits scaling and deinterlacing TV
Good picture quality SD source on an HDTV requires a good scalability and good deinterlacing the image. Certain devices (DVD players, Blu-ray or HD DVD, audio video amplifier) equipped with HDMI connectors can handle these treatments upstream. The Playstation 3 offers for example a very good DVD upscaling the image from these discs will then be well defined even on Full HD TVs input range.

Televisions good embarking electronic (scaling, deinterlacing) will nevertheless treatments on all sources, including the tuner.

LCD or Plasma?
Ending time of wisdom, LCD and Plasma technologies have evolved considerably in recent years, the arguments were the warhorses of the two supporters are gone, or almost, as it opts for top models or 'entry.
The Color
Broadly speaking, plasma technology offers richer colors and more natural. Some LCD TVs offer high quality, however this level of backlight that the gap is narrowing considerably. In against part, entry-level LCD palette afiche lesser extent, with drifts of color.

Historically, plasma screens have a head start on the LCD on the shades of black and show a better contrast ratio. But from a purely visual level, this advantage may be that in the dark. The records of black may be better on LCD screens in a bright room. Obviously, this information can be disproved by the exceptions relating to the quality of the TV.

Lifetime Consumption
In terms of lifespan, the Plasma has made progress since its longevity is similar to that of LCD screens: approximately 25 years at 4 hours of use per day. However, it is advisable to opt for a plasma screen if you live in high altitudes. A diagonal equivalent, the LCD takes advantage consumption. Count an average of 200 Wats for the 32-inch, 250 Wats for the 40-inch and 350 watts for 52 inches.

Use
If you are keen on Home Theater, Plasma is an excellent choice. Also it keeps the price advantage over LCD in very large slabs (46 inches). The tiles are also less affected by the phenomenon of tagging residue still image disappears more or less quickly depending on the model (Logo channel scoreboard video games ...), a few years ago.

The LCD is more suited to everyday use and heterogeneous (TV, VHS, DVD, video games). But manufacturers are increasingly offering technology-oriented films that tend to the depth of black and natural colors of the Plasma.

The changes to the Windows 7 interface have gotten a lot of play, but some of the new built-in tools are just as compelling. Decide whether to incorporate Windows 7 into your home or business PCs.
Windows 7 has received plenty of attention from the tech press, but much of the focus has been on interface changes, such as the redesigned taskbar, and new file management features, such as libraries. Some improvements are less obvious  'like the new or enhanced tools that are included with the OS'. Here we discuss 10 of these cool tools that make the computing experience easier.

1: Action Center
Centralized management is the name of the game today, and Windows 7 gives you a one-stop shopping location where you can go to deal with security issues, troubleshooting, and recovery, instead of searching out separate applets for each. It’s all combined in an easy-to-use Control Panel applet, where you get maintenance and security messages and can view performance information, change UAC settings, and more, as shown below.
The Windows 7 Action Center provides a centralized location for dealing with security and system problems.
This is an outgrowth of the Security Center in Windows Vista. It made sense to combine security settings and actions with system maintenance and recovery issues. The Action Center also shows up as an icon in the system tray, which displays a red X if there are problems you need to address, as shown below.
The Action Center is represented by an icon in the System Tray to alert you when a message needs your attention.

A nice touch is that Microsoft makes it easy for you to turn the various types of notifications on or off, as shown in Figure C. Thus, if you have an antivirus program installed that Windows doesn’t recognize, you don’t have to deal with constant messages urging you to install one — just turn off virus protection messages.
You can turn the various types of notifications on or off as you wish.

2: Problem Steps Recorder
One of the coolest new tools in Windows 7 is the Problem Steps Recorder (PSR) — especially for those of us who provide tech support to Windows users. No matter how hard they try, users often have problems accurately describing the problem they’re experiencing or the steps they took before or after experiencing it. Sure, Remote Assistance can be a godsend in those situations. But you can’t always connect to the user’s computer in real time. That’s when the PSR comes in handy.
It’s really a type of screen capture software that records all actions — keystrokes, mouse clicks, etc. — and saves the sequence of events in an MHTML page that documents every step the user took, along with screenshots. You start the PSR by entering psr.exe in the Start menu Search box or at the command prompt. The interface is shown below.
The Problem Steps Recorder provides an accurate record of a user’s actions, along with screenshots.

You can view the recorded steps in IE by double-clicking the saved zipped MHTML file, as shown below.
You can view the recorded steps in Internet Explorer.

3: ISO burner
An ISO image is a type of archive file that is often used to distribute software. In Windows 7, Microsoft addressed something that’s been on the wish list of many users for a long time: Now you don’t have to download and install a third-party program to burn an ISO file to disc.

It’s a simple process: After you download an .ISO to your hard drive, just double-click it and Windows 7 will open the Burn Disc Image dialog box, shown below.
Now you can burn an ISO image to disc easily without installing third-party software.

This also works for images with the .IMG file extension.

4: Biometric device management
In earlier versions of Windows, biometric authentication and management of biometric devices (fingerprint sensors) required third-party software that might or might not integrate well with the OS. Now it’s built in. Windows 7 includes the Windows Biometric Framework, which gives developers an API they can use to build biometrics into applications. Makers of fingerprint sensor hardware, such as UPEK and AuthenTec, worked with Microsoft on the development of the Framework. Biometric devices are managed through a Control Panel applet, shown below.
You can change biometric settings and manage devices through a Control Panel applet.

5: Credential Manager
The Credential Manager is another new feature in Windows 7. It is similar in some ways to the password management feature in Vista’s User Accounts applet but is more sophisticated. You can manage Windows credentials for various computers that you sign onto, certificate-based credentials, and other generic credentials (for e-mail accounts, Web accounts, etc.). These are all stored, by default, in the Windows Vault, as shown below.
Windows 7’s Credential Manager can store passwords and certificates in a central location.

Perhaps the best new feature in Credential Manager is the ability to back up and restore the Vault. Microsoft recommends that you back up your credentials to a removable drive, such as a flash drive, to make it easier to restore them if you have a hardware failure.

6: Display projection and Windows Mobility Center
If you give lots of presentations, you’ll welcome a new tool in Windows 7 that makes it easy for you to display your Windows 7 portable computer’s desktop on a projector. Just press the Windows logo key + P and you’ll see the pop-up box shown below.
The Display Switch settings box lets you quickly change how you want your desktop displayed.

The first setting is the default and displays on the computer screen only. The second setting clones the display on the computer screen to the projector. The third setting extends the desktop across both the computer screen and the projector, and the fourth setting displays via the projector only and turns off the computer screen.

Pressing the Windows logo key + X opens up the Windows Mobility Center. Through this interface, shown in Figure below, you can turn on presentation mode. This disables your screensaver, sets your wallpaper to a neutral one and even puts your IM client on “do not disturb” status.
When you’re presenting, you can set your laptop to Presentation mode.

7: Text tuning and color calibration
Your computer does the work, but your monitor is what you look at all day. If it doesn’t look good, you don’t get the most out of your computing experience, and you can even strain your eyes. Windows 7 includes two great tools for adjusting your display to fit your preferences.
You can access the ClearType Text Tuner from Control Panel or from the command line (cttune.exe). If you have multiple monitors, you can tune the type on each of them individually, as shown below.
You can tune the ClearType text on each of your monitors to suit your preferences.

The tuning tool works somewhat like those eye charts at the optometrist’s office: You select the one that looks best to you, as shown below.
To tune the text display, you pick the text that looks best to you.

In addition to the text tuner, Windows 7 provides a color calibration tool. It’s accessible from the Control Panel or from the command line (dccw.exe). It helps you to adjust the gamma, brightness, contrast, and color rendition on your monitors for the best display, as shown below.
The Windows 7 Color Calibration tools helps you optimize your display.

8: System Repair Disc
The Vista Service Pack 1 betas included a new feature that let you easily create a system repair disc with a friendly graphical interface, but it was removed in the final release of SP1. Windows 7 restores this functionality. Just click Start and type System Repair in the Search box. Click on Create A System Repair Disc. This opens the dialog box shown below.
Windows 7 makes it easy to create a system repair disc.

To use the disc, put it in your drive and reboot the computer from the disc. (You may have to set the CD/DVD drive as the primary boot device in your BIOS.) Then, you’ll get a list of system recovery options, which include:
Startup repair
System restore
System image recovery
Windows memory diagnostic
Command prompt

9: Better backup utility
Of course, previous versions of Windows included a backup utility, but this tool has been significantly improved in Windows 7. Vista’s backup program was user friendly but not very flexible. Windows 7 gives you more granular control over what you want to back up.

You can invoke the Backup And Restore applet from Control Panel or by typing Backup in the Search box on the Start menu. You can back up your files to a local hard disk, a removable disk, a DVD, or another computer on the network. (You may need to provide credentials to access a network location.) Then, you can choose to back up libraries or individual folders, as shown below.
The Windows 7 Backup utility lets you back up the folders you choose.
You can also exclude specified folders from the backup.

10: PowerShell v2
Windows PowerShell (Figure below) is a command-line shell interface and scripting tool that makes it easier for Windows administrators to automate tasks using cmdlets, which are commands that perform single tasks, and scripts, which are made up of multiple cmdlets to perform more complex, multi-step tasks.
Previous versions of Windows include a command-line interpreter (command.com or cmd.exe), but PowerShell is much more powerful, providing a UNIX-like command environment that can automate almost every GUI functionality.

PowerShell can be downloaded to run on Windows XP or Vista, but Windows 7 is the first client operating system that comes with it built in. (It is also installed by default in Windows Server 2008 R2.) PowerShell v2 adds about 240 new cmdlets, as well as new APIs and features, such as the ability to invoke PowerShell scripts and cmdlets on a remote computer. You can find out more about PowerShell on the Microsoft Web site.

How To Approach Windows 7?
The best approach is to start by throwing away preconceptions from earlier Windows versions and approach the new OS with an open mind. That's the best way to decide whether to incorporate Windows 7 into your home or business PCs. In this gallery, I highlight some features you'll want to pay special attention to. Continuved From - Whats New In Windows 7 Part 4.

Setting up BitLocker To Go
Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise editions support BitLocker disk encryption. New in Windows 7 is a feature called BitLocker To Go, which allows you to encrypt the entire contents of a USB flash drive or other removable device. If it’s lost or stolen, the thief will be unable to access the data without the password. To start, right-click the flash drive and use this shortcut menu.

BitLocker encryption
Adding BitLocker encryption requires you to enter a password (or use smart-card credentials). After entering a strong password, click the Start Encrypting button. The actual time it takes varies depending on how much data is on the drive. Any additional files you copy to this drive in the future will automatically be encrypted on the fly.

Opening a BitLocker-encrypted drive
When you attach a flash drive whose contents have been encrypted using BitLocker To Go, it appears in the Computer window with a key icon, as shown here. Double-clicking the drive icon opens the dialog box shown here. Enter your password and click Unlock to gain access to the data. Although you can create and manage a BitLocker-encrypted volume only on Windows 7 Ultimate, you can open, add, and delete files from any retail edition of Windows 7, including Home Premium.

BitLocker in Vista or XP?
You’ve used BitLocker drive encryption to protect the contents of a USB flash drive. So what happens if you insert that drive into a PC running Windows XP or Vista? In that case, Windows displays the dialog box shown here. When you enter the correct password, the contents appear in the BitLocker To Go Reader, shown here. As the name suggests, you can copy and open files from this location, but you can’t add new files or change or delete existing one. (The BitLocker To Go Reader does not work with OS X; to read an encrypted drive on a Mac, it must be running Windows.)

And Now, GOOGLE has got a competitor... Bing, the name Microsoft gave to the new search service, is its answer to Google 'a noun that once meant little but has become part of the language as a verb that is a synonym for executing a Web search'.
After months of searching, Microsoft settled on Bing to replace the all-too-forgettable Live Search, which itself replaced MSN Search. Microsoft invested billions of dollars in those services and failed to slow Google’s rise, so a new name certainly can’t hurt.

Microsoft’s marketing gurus hope that Bing will evoke neither a type of cherry nor a strip club on “The Sopranos” but rather a sound — the ringing of a bell that signals the “aha” moment when a search leads to an answer. The name is meant to conjure “the sound of found” as Bing helps people with complex tasks like shopping for a camera, said Yusuf Mehdi, senior vice president of Microsoft’s online audience business group.
And if Bing turns into a verb like, say, Xerox, TiVo or, well, Google, that would be nice too. Steven A. Ballmer, Microsoft’s chief executive, said Thursday that he liked Bing’s potential to “verb up.” Plus, he said, “it works globally, and doesn’t have negative, unusual connotations.”
Peter Sealey, a former chief marketing officer at the Coca-Cola Company, said Microsoft should have picked a name that more directly connotes search.
“Bing has no equity; it signals nothing,” Mr. Sealey said. “It is going to be an enormous expense to create an image for this thing called Bing.”
Google’s name is a play on the word googol, which is a 1 followed by 100 zeroes. The company has said the name speaks to its ambitious mission to organize all the world’s information.
Asked about Microsoft’s choice of name at a press conference on Wednesday, Sergey Brin, a Google co-founder, said he did not know enough about the new service to comment on it. Then he deadpanned: “We’ve been pretty happy with the name Google.”
Meanwhile, some tech people were already noting that Bing is also an unfortunate acronym: “But It’s Not Google.”

Choosing the name Bing was a good start, but also the easiest part of the challenge facing the company, since most people turn to Google without even thinking about it.
Bing’s sound, brevity and “ing” ending were all positives. It has a promise that you are going to find what you are looking for, and that’s great, But its success is entirely wrapped up in the quality of the experience that Microsoft can deliver.

By Now you should know What Is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) ? and how search engines work?. As websites age, they will naturally gain popularity. For the newly born websites, they are at a slight disadvantage. Fortunately, the SEO playing field is very fair amongst all competitors.

Here are some things you can do to spice up the traffic and rankings.

Unique Content
This rule applies in the far future also. The quality of content will almost always have a decent if not huge impact on the ranking of your website. The amount of content matters, but even more so is the relevancy of the content on your website. For low cost ideas, try hiring ghost writers or college students. Some websites only have a message boards loaded with people using it to their advantage. These sites are very lucky to have other people generating content for them for free. Pages with only keywords and no real usable content will often get your website blacklisted. This doesn’t mean you have to be a master at writing to develop the content for your site. Not unless the search engines become so sophisticated later on.

Links
Having internal pages linked within your website is a good idea. Linking to other websites won’t help your ranking nearly as much as having other websites linking to yours. Some people try to build a community of sites, and have them linked to each other. Others submit their sites to online directories such as Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory Project. This helps your startup site a little bit but not nearly as well as it used to.

URL
Yes! The website address matters more than people think. I’m not talking about the domain name. The chunks of characters after the domain name often contain characters like “?” and “=” for dynamic pages. These characters are not supported by many major search engines and will create difficulty for spiders and bots to crawl through your website.

These are just a few tips to get most people started in marketing their site to the world. The work required is a never ending project since search engines keep updating with more complex search algorithms. When your site grows and surpasses your traffic and ranking expectations, remember, SEO takes more hard work than genius.

Most new computers these days come with windows installed. Some may come with a recovery disc but they are bad news as most recovery disks will delete all your files and restore your computer to the state it was in when you first purchased it.
If Windows 7 goes wrong, you can attempt a repair, at boot up, to see if the problem can be fixed...
If you don’t have access to a Windows 7 disc, you can create a system recovery disc. The system recovery disc cannot be used to install Windows, but it can be used to fix common problems that prevent Windows from booting.
Please Note: This disc cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista.

To create a system recovery disc, do the following:
1. Press the Start buttom.
2. Type Backup (as shown In Figure).
3. Select Backup and Restore.
4. In the left column, click Create a system recovery disc.
5. Select your DVD drive and click Create disc (as figure below).
6. Wait for the disc to burn.
7. Test the disc by rebooting your PC with the disc in the drive. Boot from the optical drive and ensure the disc works.
8. Save the recovery disc in a safe place.
