Creating A Second Partition On Hard Drive In Windows Seven And Vista

In Just 10 Steps You Can Create A Second Partition On Your Hard Drive In Windows Vista And Windows Seven. Of course you can create any number of partition on your hard disk depending on the size of your disk.

To create a second partition on your hard drive in Windows Seven Or In Vista, do the following:
1. Press the Start button, right click Computer, and select Manage


2. In the left pane, click Disk Management



3. Now create a new partition by shrinking a previous volume. Right click on the partition and select Shrink Volume


4. Input the size, in MB, you want to shrink the partition by (16 GB = 16,384 MB)


5. Now right click the free space and click New Simple Volume…


6. Click Next


7. Select the volume size and click Next


8. Assign a letter to the drive and click Next


9. Format the drive as NTFS, give it a label, and click Next


10. Click Finish
