Bluetooth devices>select device>properties>Bluetooth services. When choosing the DUN check box and once we click apply "Access denied" message appears.

But you will be able to connect to the internet using USB cable without any hassles.

Important: Windows Registry is a weak link in the operating system’s stability and robustness. It’s remarkably easy to damage, but very difficult to repair... Backup your registry before you start modifying the registry entries. Read my other article to know how to backup the registry.

Solution:

  • Login to your Windows as Administrator.
  • Goto Start>Run and type "mmc".
  • Click "OK"
  • Press Ctrl+M
  • Click "Add"
  • Scroll Down and click "Security Configuration and Analysis"
  • Click "Add"
  • Click "OK"
  • Right Click "Security Configuration and Analysis"
  • Click "Open Database..."

[version]
signature="$CHICAGO$"

[Registry Keys]
"MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BTHPORT",0,"D:AR(A;CI;GRGW;;;PU)(A;CI;GRGW;;;LS)"
