Samsung Galaxy S II And LG Optimus Black Differences

When The two most popular Smart phones are heading together, its really a tough task to differentiate which one is the best. However, we are not going to discuss about the similar features on both he model, rather, we make this differentiation based on some of the key differences between LG Optimus Black and Samsung Galaxy S II.

LG Optimus Black and Samsung Galaxy S II both are quad band GSM device with almost 100$ difference in their price tag. Based on the price, LG has the better advantage. But the more we pay the more we get from it. So, lets see for what we are paying 100 bugs more.

LG Optimus Black supports v2.1 with A2DP, EDR kind of Bluetooth where as Samsung Galaxy SII supports v3.0+HS. Thus, Samsung Galaxy S II support latest Bluetooth technology.

LG Optimus Black has a 5 megapixel camera while the Samsung Galaxy S II has an 8 megapixel camera. Optimus Black LG and Samsung Galaxy S II are both equipped with 2 megapixel front camera.

Next comes the Video camera, LG Optimus Black supports Video recording of up to  720p@30fps where as Samsung Galaxy S II goes further more by supporting 1080p@30fps. And then, LG Optimus Black comes with a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, while the Samsung S Galaxy II comes with a screen measuring 4.3 inches with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

LG Optimus Black only has an internal memory capacity of 1GB, while the Samsung Galaxy S II has an internal memory capacity of 16GB/32GB. Both are also equipped with microSD slots support up to 32GB.

Main disadvantages Of LG Optimus Black

  • HD video clips come out with distorted aspect ratio
  • Single core processor when most of the high-end has gone dual-core
  • The blacks of the NOVA display are not deep enough to impress
  • No dedicated camera key
  • No Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch
  • Disappointing audio quality

And here  is some of the major disadvantages of Samsung Galaxy S II

  • All-plastic body
  • No dedicated camera key
  • Super slim body has poor grip when taking pictures
  • Non-hot-swappable microSD card

LG Optimus Black weighs 109 grams and Samsung Galaxy S II weighs 116 grams. The weight between these two has nothing much to speak as it is understood Samsung Galaxy S II has a bigger screen than LG Optimus Black.

Samsung Galaxy S II comes with a battery capacity of 1650mAh, while Optimus Black comes with a battery capacity of 1500mAh. In terms of talk time, On a single charge, LG Optimus Black can be used up to 6 hours and Samsung Galaxy S II can stand up to 18 h 20 min in case of 2G and Up to 8 h 40 min for 3G.

LG Optimus Black only has an internal memory capacity of 1GB, while the Samsung Galaxy S II has an internal memory capacity of 16GB/32GB.
